I was at a very low point in my life after developing PTSD and felt that no one wanted to deal with me. Having been told that my case was ‘complex’ I felt that there was no way in changing the way I was and this was how life was going to be from now on. After the first time I was seen by Melissa I actually felt that someone wanted to help me. I had several sessions of CBT and EMDR which was very tough and yes things do get worse before they get better. However Melissa was calming, relaxed, friendly and had a very approachable manner which helped ease my anxiety. Each session was tailored on key areas of my case which was well paced and adjusted if there was any issues that were highlighted during the session. Melissa would check in regularly to ensure I was ok and would give any advice if required. This made me feel that someone wanted to help and was able to guide me in the right direction. The techniques I have gained has massively turned my life around, this has allowed me from going from daily flashbacks to now being able to return to work. I am able to understand the emotions I am feeling and deal with them in the right way. I can’t thank Melissa enough for all her hard work she has done to help me.
